Okay so here’s the deal — anyone can show up and press play on a Spotify playlist. But if you want your wedding to actually feel alive, like really alive… you need an entertainer. Not just a DJ. A real vibe guy.
And that’s what we do here at The Wedding DJ Beats of Los Angeles. We’re based right in downtown LA at 361 Flower St. But we go wherever the party is — from Pasadena to Santa Monica to the hills in Malibu where parking’s impossible (but we still make it).
We’ve been to over 400+ weddings in LA — backyard ones, big hotel ballrooms, beach weddings where the sand kept getting in our shoes (and turntables), and even a random warehouse in DTLA that had no AC… still was a banger.
We’re not just DJs. We’re entertainers. The kinda team that brings the laughs, keeps the dance floor full, and knows when to not talk over your uncle’s awkward speech.
Let’s talk about what makes our entertainment different.
Some DJs press buttons and call it a night. We mix live. Right there. Every beat matched. No lazy pre-set playlist junk. That means if your cousin suddenly wants to hear Bad Bunny and it wasn’t in the plan? No problem. We got it.
There was this one time — wedding in Echo Park, super low-key couple — someone shouted “play Nirvana!” in the middle of a reggaeton set. Wild request, yeah. But our guy flipped a clean transition right into “Smells Like Teen Spirit” like it was meant to be there. Whole room went nuts. That’s what we mean by reading the room.
And we always bring backups too, in case your aunt requests “I Will Survive” three times in a row (yes, it happens).
Weddings need energy. Like real energy. We got hype men who do more than just yell random stuff in the mic. They keep the crowd moving without being annoying.
We had this wedding in Burbank — super shy crowd, like nobody wanted to dance. Our hype guy broke the ice, hyped up grandma first (true story), and boom — floor packed for the rest of the night. Dude didn’t even stop dancing during dessert.
It’s not just shouting. It’s knowing when to hype, and who to hype. A good hype man’s like the glue for the party. He keeps it from crashing when the vibes dip. Ours do it real smooth — like they’ve done it hundreds of times. Cause they have.
Now let’s be honest — lighting can make or break a reception. We’re not talking some cheap blinking disco ball. We mean full setup: uplighting, dance floor strobes, haze machine if you want that moody glow, and even cold sparklers (those wow people every time).
We’ve done weddings under palm trees in Venice, on hotel rooftops in Hollywood, and in tiny apartments in Silver Lake. Our lighting fits wherever. And we test it all beforehand cause no one wants a busted light in their first dance video. That happened once — not to us, but a friend’s wedding. Lesson learned: don’t cheap out on lighting.
We make it look like a real event, not a birthday at Chuck E. Cheese.
We care about the energy. The flow. The vibe.
We help plan the timeline with your coordinator or planner. We coordinate entrances. We hype up the crowd but never take over your spotlight. We’re the kind of DJs who stay till the end — even when your drunk cousin is requesting the same Pitbull song again.
Most of our couples tell us “you guys were the best part of the night”. That’s not bragging — it’s real. People forget the food. They remember the music and how the room felt. That’s what we bring.
Wherever you are in Los Angeles, we’ll come to you.
We’ve been hired in:
Beverly Hills
Culver City
Glendale
Long Beach
Pasadena
Marina del Rey
…and probably wherever your cousin’s planning it too.
We load in early, set up quick, and always test our stuff. No tech fails. No awkward silences. No DJ ghosting before the party ends.
